Carlyles Function Centre

Carlyles Function Centre

Set atop Mt Adelaide and originally built in 1895, Carlyles was designed as the residence of the Fort's Commanding Officer. Featuring the traditional styles of the day, such as intricate mouldings and skirtings plus high ceilings and of course a fireplace for every room. Commanding an uninterupted view across Lake Seppings, over to the Stirling Ranges, Carlyles is surrounded by natural bushland and green lawns.

Carlyles Commander's Room can be set up for dinner, conference and presentations, cocktail parties may also be arranged with ease. And of course the all-weather covered verandah is available for all those extra guests. Carlyles Reception Centre is a privately operated business and not open for daily trade however bookings and enquiries can be made via the Carlyles Function Centre website.

The National Anzac Centre, Forts Store and other public buildings within Princess Royal Fortress are closed to the public until further notice due to the current COVID-19 health emergency.

The City of Albany regrets these closures, however it is in the interest of the health and safety of the community and our staff.

All online tickets, vouchers and gift certificates will be honoured when we reopen.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are advised that this exhibition may include names, images, and references to people who have since passed away.
