ANZAC Day has special significance in Albany. It has long been recognised that the service conducted by Padre White was the day that marked the birth of a tradition.​​

The Princess Royal Fortress will come alive with the sounds of the past this April, as the fortress joins in on the Albany 2026 program.

Gun salutes will fire twice a day from the iconic 9-pounder gun, at 10:30am and 1:30pm on 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23 April.
